The Alpine Sisters Of Fury And Hate: IV
The couple invite a selection of guests to join them for a birthing ceremony. The room is decorates with fabric flags, a statue of the perfect daughter (this time clad in gold silk) and a perfectly heated birthing pool in which the wife lies, her eyes closed. At the back of the room a sits four musicians, who play their instruments gently and with delicate fingers as the guests enter. The room is filled with the soft, warm scent of sweet potatoes. Once seated, the guests are delivered a sermon on the arrogance of society with regards to the perpetuation of the falsity that it is through intercourse that a child is created. It is explained to the guests that our future children already exist in the form of cold, sexless seedlings deep beneath the earth in a second sea that lies underneath the earth’s crust. It is through true self belief that a child is created, and as a society that is continually fed lies about creation we have lost this ability. We must regain the faith in the power of our minds, and the infinite power of our bodies. The guests are each given a cup of sweet potato soup to help cleanse their organs and ready them for autonomous conception. The wife explains how the pool in which she is sat is heated to exactly her body temperature, thus creating the perfect environment for a child to be born. A song is sung in honor of the perfect daughter, petals are dropped into the birthing pool and the wife is bathed in the waters by the hands of those closest to the pool’s edge. After this another song is sung, this time by the husband, it is a haunting ballad that once again is directed towards the perfect daughter they wish to manifest itself inside them. The guests are, lead by the wife, urged to place their hands on their wombs, and to rock gently from side to side. The musicians present read mantras to the crowd, urging them to relax and to let go of stress. After this another song is sung, a joyous song during which each guest is in turn given a small clay baby to take away with them. The ceremony is complete, and each guest leaves purified and inseminated.
